Last year we could see in catwalks and later in stores the punk looks, short dresses and skirts, all the colors mixed, bohemian chic tunics with shine skin leggings, dresses with jeans in the bottom, etc. The hair and make up was just similar to the super stars from the 70's early 80's: Crazy hair cuts and nail colors. Basically, everything was valid... and wild! This A/W season the designers cut tottaly with these tendences and we are back to classy "late 80's early 90's" with a bit of the sensuality and curves of the 50's that can see in transparencies and laces. We still have bohemian and hippy looks, but they are cleaner. Tweed is one of the most important fabrics, and they are back in force just like the tailleurs. Set pairs are very common this season, as well as the large jackets, not banded and with broad shoulders (M/W). The leather is back for good also, with pair sets or just skirts or jackets even though we are not going to see the typical motorcyclist style much. With leather it comes the fur (fake or original) just in collars or in the entire piece. Monocolor in strong colors like red is a tendence that already started in the summer and continues for A/W. Also back are the woods, knits and cotton (tailleurs and cardigans). Ready to remember Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose place or Goodfellas and Pulp Fiction? Here it goes some pictures from the main fashion weeks in the world:
Always remember: Although the fashion is cyclic, year to year, season to season, we can see innovations in designs and styles. And these are some examples of that. Enjoy!
