Remembering Chefchaouen - Morocco

Chefchaouen is a small town in the north of Morocco. I went to Morocco four times, always by car and I met almost the entire country. Casablanca has a special glow, Marrakesh is messy and amazing at the same time and so is Fez. I loved Ouarzazate and the desert but there's no place like Chefchaouen.

This picture was taken there in 2003 in a restaurant with private rooms that I always go in Chefchaouen. I mean... I go there everyday and I eat like crazy for 5€ or less. It's one those places, you know... Inside this room I lived so many things you can't imagine.
I liked this place so much that when I returned home I adopted this little baby which I named Chaouen after the city:

And now that I'm thinking of returning Chefchaouen soon, I'm doing this post remembering my last road trip to Morocco in 2009. After watching the pictures I hope you understand why I love this town so much... The mountains, the animals, the souks, the people, the blue streets, the air... Chefchaouen is part of me.

How to easily spend £100 at Asos.com?

Asos is on sales again and I don't need to say anything else. Here are my choices this time. You know I'm a dresses girl, I wore them 80% of my awake life, even in the Winter, so what I think about when I enter a store (even online) is in having more dresses. The headband is an accessory that will look great with these summer looks.

This one is great for the beach or to wear during the day on vacation and it's 100% cotton.

I'm crazy to have this one. Looks so sexy to Summer nights and tanned skin.
Which color do you prefer?

I think this looks great to everything. Daytime, a cocktail, a night out with friends.
The little princess dress kind that I like so much.

This headband will make all the difference while wearing the first dress or other ones with just one color.

Are my 100 pounds worth to spend?

Always return to places where you were happy...

Forgive once, sometimes forgive twice. Think before forgiving a third thime. Three is always a crowd.

Fight for what you want but be realistic.

Don't allow yourself to get disappointed with something you could have avoid.

Never stop dreaming though. Mainly awake. Dreams are the material our lives are made of.

Aim always more. Why be happy for less?

Never forget to say thank you. These should be the words you use the most during your life.

Never forget to say I'm sorry. Even when you struggle not to.

Never forget to say I love you. Not all the time, not to everyone. Say when you mean it for sure.

Always respect your parents even if you had troubles in the past. They are the only ones you' ll have.

Try to stay close to your siblings. They are the closest link you have to your past and to your future.

Spoil your nephews but be tough with your kids. A mother should not be a best friend.

Ignore the previous line; they are your kids, just do what your heart tells you.

Allow yourself to cry from someone that doesn't deserve.

Believe that everything in life comes to an end.

Write down in a paper what you are feeling when you're happy, it would be useful when you're down.

Try new things but be loyal to the ones you always liked.

It's ok to look yourself in the mirror and feel depressed.

It's ok to envy girls you see on magazines.

It's even ok to envy your best friend. Envy is never about of them, is always about you.

Sing corny songs while driving your car. Singing is one of the most powerful ways of feeling free.

Dance, at least once, barefoot in the grass under the rain.

Get to know someone just because of the beauty. Fell for someone for the brains.

Never explain yourself too much. No one will ever understand what you really mean.

Be your best friend, love yourself above all and never forget each life as an owner and you own yours.

Never trust anyone too much. Trust them, but always keep the best for you.

Be careful without being rude because you never know what's going to happen next.

Avoid looking at pictures or listening to music that will make you sad.

Time to time, you are going to need them.

Kiss someone just because, don't be shy and say what you think at least once. You can be surprised.

Never stop learning. Knowledge is the strongest weapon you have in life.

Don't be too worried in discovering the world too fast. Enjoy every minute of your travels.

You should always do what you desire with your free time.

Save time to yourself, to be alone, to be in silence.

Never forget your friends and be as a good friend as you wish they could be to you.

Don't complain too much but never stop fighting for your rights.

Allow yourself some guilty pleasures but try to watch a film a day and read a book a week.

Hate dogma.

Love freedom.

Learn by experience.

Believe in yourself.

And always return to places where you were happy.

Sorry Alexa but the only ridiculous thing here is you.

Alexa Chung says in June edition of Vogue UK that blogs are ridiculous and the only one she gives some credit is The Style Rookie from the teen star Tavi.

Seriously Alexa? Think about the success of Alexa Mulberry bag. Think about your own success in the last two years. SERIOUSLY?

I hate the american flag!

I do. I always found it ugly and the clothes with the flag very cheesy. But there are two pieces I won't mind at all having in my closet for this Summer.

This swimsuit from Nasty Gal.

And this tshirt from The Hip Tee to add to my collection.
Did you notice that I'm crazy about these tees? Just can't have enough!

British flag will always be my favourite as a print to clothing and how about you?

Guess who won the Marc by Marc Jacobs photo contest?

That's right! The good vibes are returning to my life. Last Monday I discovered that the portuguese Marc by Marc Jacobs stores were promoting a photography contest. The contest was part of the Daisy perfume launching celebrations that start today in the Lisbon store. The theme was "Marc Jacobs and Flowers" and that's what I did. I arrived home after work and I dressed a white old dress that I bought in New York in 2007 for a bargain. I love that dress so much, I can't believe is getting so damaged... I put a Parfois white headband in my hair, a Marc by Marc silver bracelet and barefoot I went to my garden to cut some white roses that I kept in a Marc Jacobs store bag. This is the result and I was one of two winners. Hooray! Too bad I can't be in Lisbon today to the Fun Flowers party but the good new cheered up my day.

Dressing orange outside, feeling blue inside.

My week is being awful and today was no exception. What a terrible day. Sometimes everything seems to go wrong and the most stupid things happen to me. Always me, the kind of person who everything happens. Time to time I carry a dark cloud raining in my head... This is one of those times. I know this is going to change soon but for now I can't even look at the computer. My head is heavy and I need just to lay down and relax. I just came by to say hi and to show you the only bright part of my day: my dress. My friend M, who is an excellent photographer, took these pics during a break in my endless day. Enjoy.
