Herve Leger pioneered the body-con look in the 1980s and the label was relaunched in 2007 with BCBG designer Max Azria. Leger pioneered the creation of the "bandage" or "body-con" which means a dress that makes you conscious of the great shapes of your body. The bandage dresses are created using materials traditionally associated with foundation garments that mold and shape the wearer's figure with its signature bandage-like strips.
Since 2008 these dresses got famous in red carpets and events all over the world. This season, the bandage trend is back, actually I think it was always a must have for the lovers of this concept.
It is true that models love these dresses and you can always spot a Vitoria's Secret Angel wearing one. But it is also true that all kind of woman, even the ones not that skinny like Kim Kardashian, Kate Winslet or even Ivana Trump wore and looked great in a Herve Leger dress. It's magic they say. The dress enhances the body and makes you look slimmer. I think I believe!

Thinking of buying?
When I started doing this research about the Herve Leger bandage dresses I thought "no way I have the body to use one". After seeing the photos of some many women using it and the magic results of the dress I might give it a try. You can buy at Net a Porter but they are a bit expensive. Ok, very expensive! I can buy on Ebay for half the price. There's hundreds of websites selling fakes for less but don't buy them, because they won't work the same way. There's this website where the author helps you to know if you are buying the real thing or a scam. Let's bandage?
