Remember my sad story about Rome this Summer? Well... Everything goes wrong to me when we talk about travelling this year. I was coming to Madrid with a friend and last minute she had to cancel for personal issues. I was a bit sad but I decided to come anyway once I love to travel on my own and I have some friends here in Madrid. My flight was early this morning and I only managed to sleep three hours. I arrived Madrid and guess what happened? My luggage was missing. It was a really small flight in a really small plane and they managed to lost my bag. Lucky hun? So I arrived Madrid on my own, my friends were working, and I had nothing but dark circles under my eyes and the clothes I dressed in a worry at 6 am!
My boyfriend always tells me not to pack valuable things but I'm stubborn. In my bag is my camera and some of my favourite jewels, not to mention all the clothes. You can't imagine how desperate I was some hours ago. I still don't have the bag with me but the airport just called me saying they found it. Ufff! Still... Can you imagine how terrible it is to have your hands empty in a city far from home?
Right now I think hopefully everything is going to turn just fine but I had some bad time today. And that's what this post is all about. My first stop in town was Tiffany where they were so nice to me and even offered me a beautiful book about Tiffany's history. After that I decided I needed to react and I went to a MAC stand. I ask the girl for a makeover and while she was doing it I told her my story. She was so nice to me, in the end she didn't charge me a cent and even told me to return tomorrow if I still don't have my bag with me. I could be wearing a Minnie Mouse jersey but at least my face would look good. So here it is, thank you America so much for you kindness, you just made my day!
After that (and many phone calls from my sweet sweet boy) I convinced myself that every little thing would be alright and I started having fun, walking around the city, shopping a lot and taking picture with my phone, my biggest ally today. So, while I wait for my bag and my friends, here are some pieces of my day, a good and productive day after all. Madrid!! I love you and your people but you almost killed me today!
Tiffany's, what else?
Me and America. How sweet is this girl?
And the wonderful make-up.
She gave me doll eyes!! Tomorrow I need to buy that MAC mascara.
My natural state of mind: silliness!
A wonderful store that I loved. There are three in Madrid: Papaya!
Any excuse was a good excuse to shoot my eyelashes!
The first purchase of the day. This beautiful handmade crystals skull from a french designer.
My reading material during lunch time at Lateral.
Can you guess which store is this?
More to come tomorrow!
