Let's go back to June of 2009. It was my last week living in England and I needed a new dress, a clutch and new shoes for a wedding party that Summer. I called my best British friend and we went for a walk (aka entering all the stores in Bristol). I was getting desperate because I couldn't find a dress that I liked and I really wanted to buy it in England, once I wanted something different. And then I saw this pink number at Reiss in the other side of the street. It was so princess alike, it was perfect. I ran to the store right away. My friend started stroking his chin and gave me this "seriously?" look. I tried the dress really excited and came outside the dressing room to show him the result.
Tom didn't really care about fashion and he always found my looks during that year a bit "posh", but he was kind of used to my taste. He looked at me and told me in his Oxford accent: "Well Raquel... You look like a cupcake!". I immediately remembered of Carrie Bradshaw in her "cake dress" waiting for the russian guy in Paris and thought to myself that I was the kind of girl who likes dresses that look like cakes. I spent my entire budget in the pink cupcake dress and I returned home happy as a bird. Three years later this was the dress I chose to wear in the beautiful wedding by the river of these two charming friends.
